History

Patricia Wilson was born in Gourouck,Scotland, but her family moved to Edmonton, Alberta when she was three years old. She began her dance training at the age of seven and also trained and performed at the Alberta Ballet Company, the Banff Centre of Fine Arts, and the London Dance Centre in England, as well as performing with the Jubilairs in Edmonton before attending the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Scholarship Programme. After her graduation in 1971, she joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet. She was promoted to soloist in 1974, but left the company two years later.
