History

Knox Presbyterian Church existed in Wallace, Manitoba from 1900 to 1922. The early Presbyterian Mission in Wallace was affiliated with the Carmel Presbyterian Church in Virden. Services were conducted in homes and schools until construction of Knox Presbyterian Church was completed in 1900. In 1905, Knox Presbyterian became part of the Hargrave charge. The congregation of Knox considered plans of union with the local Methodist congregation as early as 1912. Knox Presbyterian Church and Zion Methodist Church eventually united in 1922 under the name "Wallace United Church".
