Custodial history

Records in this fonds were gathered and retained by Albert McLeod, Board Member of the organization, who transferred them to the stewardship of the University of Winnipeg Archives 2018-2019.

Scope and content

Fonds reflects the role and activities of Two-Spirited People of Manitoba Inc. as an advocacy organization for Two-Spirit people. Fonds includes records generated by the organization itself -- from meetings, gatherings, and other activities -- as well as records collected by members, particularly Albert McLeod, related to the organization’s mandate, such as press releases, photographs, and documents related to other Two-Spirit or Indigenous organizations. The fonds also includes several oral histories conducted with Two-Spirit individuals.
