Other title information

The Treesbank Ferry was first established to access the Dominion Land Office of 1880, located on the west side of the Assiniboine River, just up from the mouth of the Souris River. After the railway was built, the ferry moved upstream to an area known as Clark's Crossing. In 1898-99, the operation of the ferry service was taken over by the Rural Municipality of South Cyprus. The service used 11 different ferry boats during its 109 years of service. In September of 1989, the Treesbank Bridge opened to replace the Treesbank Ferry.
