Biographical history
Henry Theodore (Ted) Chartrand was born in Perigord, Saskatchewan on January 22nd, 1926. He has three brothers and three sisters. Ted is a Manitoba Metis Federation Elder who is an active volunteer in the community and to the MMF. He is also an Aboriginal veteran and is involved at the local and provincial level. Ted and his father used to race dogs. In 1942[?], he participated in the junior dog race. Ted has been a Trappers' Festival attendee since their creation.

Consists of four original cassette tapes (PA2004.6.1a-d), four access copies cassette tapes, three minidisks (PA2004.6.7a-c), two floppy disks (PA2010.4.25-26), three CDs (PA2004.6.7a-c) and transcripts for the interviews with Ted Chartrand conducted by Avery Ascher on January 14 & 20, February 5, and April 15th, 2004.
