Administrative history
St. Paul's United Church existed in Winnipeg from 1925 until 1972. The predecessor of St. Paul's United Church was St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. The successors of St. Paul's United Church were the Home Street-St. Paul's United Church, Maryland United Church, and St. Matthew's-Maryland Ministry. St. Paul's United Church officially amalgamated with Home Street United Church in July 1972. The final worship service was held in the Home Street United Church in October 1972. Property of St. Paul's United Church was donated to a variety of other churches and the building was sold to the Winnipeg General Hospital in 1972. Services of the amalgamated Home Street-St. Paul's congregation were subsequently held in St. Matthew's Anglican Church. The United congregation of Home Street and St. Paul's became known as Maryland United Church (II) and together with the Anglican congregation of St. Matthew's became part of 'Ministry for Tommorrow'. This ministry was later known as 'St. Matthew's-Maryland Community Ministry' and 'St. Matthew's-Maryland Christian Center'.
