Administrative history

A church was built on the Gamblers Reserve in 1946. In 1969 there were 35 families connected to it. It was closed in the early 1980s; however its canonical closure did not take place until 1998. At that time the property was placed under the care of St. Joseph the Worker in Russell. The building was sold to Gamblers First Nation by the Archdiocese in 2001. Sacramental records from 1942 to 1980 are integrated with those of St. Anthony's church in Binscarth.
