Administrative history

In 1914, the Archbishop of St. Boniface wrote to the Federal Minister of the Interior requesting a church for Oak River Reserve, including a list of Catholics living there. A lay person was authorized to act a catechist in 1915 and 1917 in absence of a priest. Sacramental records are kept in the registers of St. Mary's at Souris. There is no current record of Oak River.

Textual records were transferred from the Archdiocese of St. Boniface circa 1915.
