Name of creator
St. Andrew's United Church existed in the Manitoba community of Mather, located in the Rural Municipality of Roblin, from 1925 to 2012. The predecessors of St. Andrew's United Church, also known as Mather United Church, were St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and Mather Methodist Church. The Presbyterian church building was used for the United Church. In 1971, the building was deemed unsafe and torn down. A church from Killarney was bought and moved to Mather later that year. Due to decreasing attendance, St. Andrew's United Church in Mather closed in 2012.
The records of St. Andrew's United Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of several transfers of records from the Cartwright-Mather Pastoral Charge in 1978, 1993, and 1999.
