Biographical history
The Southwest Interlake Pastoral Charge was officially organized in 1961. Winnipeg Presbytery divided the Interlake Pastoral Charge, which consisted of nine preaching points, into two separate districts: Southwest Interlake Pastoral Charge and Northwest Interlake Pastoral Charge. The Northwest Interlake district originally included points at Spearhill, Grahamdale, Steep Rock and Gypsumville, and the Southwest Interlake district included points at Eriksdale, Ashern, Clydebank and Eastlands, and Clarkleigh. Rev. James Scott of the Interlake Pastoral Charge remained with the Southwest Interlake district,as the manse was located within the town of Eriksdale. In 1962, Lundar became a preaching point of the Southwest Interlake Charge. The Southwest district bcame part of Selkirk Presbytery upon its creation in 1963. The Southwest Interlake Charge evolved into a three-point charge in 1966, when services were discontinued in Clydebank.
