Name of creator
This French-speaking parish was established in 1905, along with a French school. A new school, built in 1961 became a public French Immersion school in the 1970s. The number of parishioners declined considerably after 1959. In 1968, the Portuguese Catholic congregation were renting space at Sacre Coeur. In the early 1990s, the building which housed the original school and church was demolished, and the remaining 150 families in the congregation moved their church to a building elsewhere in the city.
Textual records 1903-1916 were transferred from the Archdiocese of St. Boniface circa 1917.
