History

Sacramental records began in 1926. They were integrated in the sacramental register of Sacred Heart church at Gladstone. As early as 1959, parishioners were being encouraged to attend Mass at Amaranth; however, in a 1977 letter parishioners said that they would prefer a weekday Mass once a month "which we've had it that way since our church organized in 1913." There were 12 families in the parish in 1977. The following year, a letter discussed the "urgency of forming one Catholic community of Roman Catholics and Ukrainian Catholics."
