Biographical history

Riverview United Church existed in Winnipeg from 1925 until 1995. The predecessor of Riverview United Church was the Riverview Presbyterian Church. In 1925, the congregation of Riverview built a new church, becoming the first United Church in Canada to dedicate a new church structure. The old Presbyterian church structure remained attached to the new structure until it was replaced by a new Christian Education building in 1957. In 1995, Riverview United Church amalgamated with Rosedale United Church and adopted the name Churchill Park United Church. The Churchill Park United congregation has utilized the former Rosedale United Church structure since amalgamation. Grace Bible Church and Riverview Day Nursery have since occupied the Riverview Church structure.
