Biographical history
The Rev. Frederick Hughes was born in 1889. He was ordained a Deacon in 1917 and a Priest in 1918 for Rupert's Land. He served as curate of St. Peter in Winnipeg from 1917 to 1921,and as Rector in 1927 to 1928; Vicar of St. Barnabas, Winnipeg from 1921 to1927; and Rector of St. Alban, Winnipeg from 1928 to 1962. He served as Rural Dean of Winnipeg from 1946 to 1962. He was also an Honourary Canon of the Cathedral from 1945 to 1962. The Rev. Frederick Hughes died in 1971.
