Biographical history

The Manual of The United Church of Canada stipulates that there shall be a Committee of Stewards for each Pastoral Charge; and where there is more than one Congregation, there may be a Committee of Stewards for each Congregation in which case they shall jointly constitute the Committee of Stewards for the Pastoral Charge. The Committee of Stewards shall be elected from members and adherents and shall include a member of the UCW. The duties of the Stewards include securing contributions and the disbursement of these monies for salaries and expenses; the presentation of a detailed statement of the receipts and expenditures of the Committee of Stewards and of the Board of Trustees to the annual meeting of the Charge; and to report to the regular meetings of the Official Board. Officers of the Committee of Stewards include the Chair, the Secretary, and the Treasurer.
