History

Trinity United Church has existed in the Manitoba town of Portage la Prairie since 1935. Its predecessors were Grace and Knox United Churches, which amalgamated on October 6, 1935 as the United Church of Portage la Prairie. Knox United Church was retained for the use of the new charge. A Christian Education building was completed in 1957. Because of the establishment of McKenzie United Church in Portage la Prairie in 1958, the United Church of Portage la Prairie changed its name to Trinity United Church in 1960.
