History

Grace United Church existed in the Manitoba community of Pomeroy, located northwest of Roland, from 1925 to 1964. Its predecessor was Grace Methodist Church, which had also been known as Pomeroy Methodist Church. Church renovations were done in the late 1950s. The final service at Grace United Church was held in June 1964. The congregation transferred to either Carman or Roland United Church. The building was moved to Winkler, Manitoba in 1969 to be used as a mission building. On May 18, 1969, a commemorative plaque for Grace United Church was dedicated at Roland United Church.
