Pleasant Point School #267 was founded in 1882 to provide educational services to children of the Pleasant Point, Manitoba area. The school opened in 1882, rebuilt in 1912, and closed in 1954 when students began to be transported to school in Carberry, Manitoba. The Pleasant Point School District ceased to exist by 1962, when consolidation with Carberry, Melbourne, Prosser, and Linwood Districts took place. Details of the building itself and its personnel have been published in "Carberry Plains: Century One".

Custodial history

Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1990 by George Calvert of Carberry, Manitoba.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of school attendance registers, which are indexed for students and teachers. Missing are years 1910, 1915-1917, 1918-1920, 1923-1926, 1927-1928.
