The Pembina Manitou Archive was conceived by the board of the Pembina Manitou Culture and Heritage Association to provide access to primary documents and regional archival information for researchers both in academia and in the general public. The principle of universal access led to the recognition of the importance of digital, web based archival information.
Custodial history
Members of three generations of the Thorleifson Family have worked on building this collection over the past fifty years. Genealogists in Iceland, the University of Iceland, members of the family in Iceland all deserve thanks in the development of this collection.
