History
Elizabeth Olds was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She began her dance training at the age of eight at the Ann Abor Recreation Department and from 1978 to 1979 she attended the National Academy of Dance in Champaign, Illinois. She also studied at the Southwest Ballet Centre as well as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division. Elizabeth joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in June of 1982 as a member of the corps de ballet. She was promoted to First Soloist in 1985 and became a Principal Dancer in 1989. She retired from dancing in 1997, although returned to dance in The Toy Castle television series in 2000. In 2002, she became an assistant to the Artistic Director of the Boston Ballet, a position she also previously held with the Alberta Ballet.
