Name of creator
Oberon United Church was built in 1902 as a Presbyterian Church to provide religious services to citizens of the Oberon, Manitoba district. In 1925 organisers voted in support of union between Presbyterian, Methodist, and Congressional Union of Canada denominations, thus changing the name. In 1924 the first Auxiliary had been formed. It was affiliated with other United Church networks in Canada. Further information is unknown.
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1988 by the Carberry Plains Museum, in 1992 by persons unknown, and in 1993 by Marie May of an unknown place.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of black and white photographs showing the church (undated), the Women's Auxiliary, and the Women's Missionary Society. Textual material is a calendar with a picture of the church.
