Biographical history

Morse Lamb Goodman was born in 1917.He was ordained deacon in 1942 and a priest the following year in the Diocese of Algoma. He served as Curate of St. Paul's in Fort William, Ontario from 1942 - 1943, the Incumbent at Murillo from 1943 to 1946, and Rector of St. Thomas Church in Fort William. He came to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1953 to serve at St. James until 1960, and then became the Dean and Rector of St. Matthew's Cathedral in Brandon, Manitoba from 1960 to 1965. At the same time, he also served as Examining Chaplain to the Bishop of Brandon. Goodman was the Rector of Christ Church in Edmonton from 1965 to 1968, before being Consecrated Lord Bishop of Calgary on 6 January 1968 in the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer in Calgary.

The fonds consists of one autographed edition of "With You in the Morning" -- selected readings from CBC's "Family Worship" series, broadcast daily from CBC Winnipeg.
