Biographical history
The Miniota Pastoral Charge was made up of congregations from Miniota, Arrow River and Two Creeks Mission Station. The charge was called Miniota, Arrow River, Two Creeks Pastoral Charge until 1936 when it became the Miniota Pastoral Charge. In 1952, following the addition of Beulah and Isabella, the charge was renamed the Miniota-Arrow River Pastoral charge. When Arrow River's congregation amalgamated with Miniota in 1969, the Birtle-Miniota Wider Parish was formed and consisted of Isabella, Birtle, Miniota and Beulah.
Custodial history
The records of the Miniota Pastoral Charge came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records from the Birtle-Miniota Wider Parish in 2003.
Scope and content
The records of the Miniota Pastoral charge held at the conference archives include: Sacramental Registers pertaining to Baptisms (1901-1936, 1937-1960), Marriages (1899-1936, 1936-1961, 1939-1962), Burials (1916-1936, 1936-1959); Communion Rolls (1926-1954, 1946-1968); and records of Ministry and Personnel committee (1980-1989).
