Name of creator
At the time of Union with the United Church of Canada in 1925, the Melita Pastoral charge included Melita and Brown's. Brown's remained, off and on, a part of the charge until 1943. Peninsula was briefly connected to the charge between 1934 and 1936. In 1954, Napinka, Purple Hill and Bernice all joined the Melita Pastoral charge, which became known as the Melita-Napinka Pastoral charge until 1959. Bernice left in 1955. Purple Hill left the charge in 1970 and Napinka left after their church closed in 1998. Tilston was added in 1968 and remained part of the Melita Pastoral charge with Melita United Church until it was joined by Deloraine in 2009.
