Marilyn Lewis was a member of the corps de ballet with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet from 1966 to 1969. She then moved to Europe to dance with the Wuppertal Opera House, the Dusseldorf Opera House and the Netherlands Dance Theatre. She married Joost Pelt in 1976, who joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1977. Marilyn served as a regisseur for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet from 1979 to 1981. She later took an administration position with the Winnipeg Contemporary dancers when Joost was a member of the company and was Associate Artistic Director with Dance 160. She is currently the Associate Director of Black Tulip, an office administration service provider in Toronto.
The records of Marilyn Lewis came to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet archives as part of a transfer of records from the RWB.
