Lily Bay United Church originated in Lily Bay (formerly known as Lundyville), Manitoba, in 1925. The predecessor of Lily Bay United Church was Lily Bay Union Church. Lily Bay was part of the Clarkleigh Pastoral charge, which also included congregations at Chalway and Oak Point. The field was served largely by summer students. After 1954, Lily Bay disappears from The United Church Yearbook.
The records of the Lily Bay United Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer or records in 1982.
Scope and content
The surviving records of the Lily Bay United Church include the following: records pertaining to church property, including correspondence, agreements and financial records, 1906-1972; records of the Ladies Aid, including minutes and financial records, 1905-1939.
