Brandon's original City Hall was designed by local architect W. R. Marshall and built between 1891-1892 on the 800 Block of Princess Avenue. In addition to serving as Brandon's City Hall, there was an opera house on the building's second floor. In 1971 the structure of the building was deemed unsafe and a new City Hall was constructed at 410 9th Street. The Original City Hall building was demolished and the area is now Princess Park.
