Biographical history
Laura Graham was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She began her dance training at the age of eight at the Mount Laurel Ballet School, and later trained at the Joffrey Ballet School, the Ballet Nacional de Cuba, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Professional Division. She joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1985 as a member of the corps de ballet. She was promoted to second soloist in January and to first soloist in July of 1989. She became a Principal Dancer in 1990. That same year, she won the silver medal at the International Ballet Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. She left the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1996 to join the Ballett Frankfurt in Germany. In 2006, she was appointed an assistant to the Artistic Director at the SemperOper Ballet in Dresden, Germany, where she is currently a ballet master and choreographic assistant.
Custodial history
The records of Laura Graham came to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as part of a transfer of records from the RWB and were also collected by the Alumni Association.

The Laura Graham fonds includes the following series: newspaper articles (1990-1994); biographical information (1985-2004); Varna International Ballet Competition (1990); correspondence (1992-2006); and photographs (1986-1994).
