Biographical history

The communities of Eddystone, Makinak, Ochre River, Rorketon, and Ste. Rose du Lac stretch out in an arc south of Lake Dauphin and west of the Lake Manitoba Narrows. Lakeside Pastoral Charge, formed in 1964, originally included the preaching points of Eddystone, Magnet, Wapah, Makinak, Ochre River, Rorketon, and Ste. Rose du Lac. Wapah was removed from the charge in 1968, followed by Magnet in 1976. Eddystone left in 1995 and Ochre River became a separate one point charge in 2002. Since Makinak's departure in 2005, Lakeside Pastoral charge has consisted only of Ste. Rose du Lac and Rorketon. Lakeside Pastoral charge is part of the Northland Presbytery.

Custodial history

The records of the Lakeside Pastoral charge came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records from Lakeside Pastoral charge on May 24, 1988.
