Administrative history

The Knox United Church has existed in Manitoba community of Binscarth from 1925 to 2015. The predecessors of the Knox United Church were Binscarth Union Church, Binscarth Presbyterian Church, and the Methodist congregation of Binscarth. Services were first held in private homes of Binscarth around 1883. The Binscarth Presbyterian Church was built in 1903. In 1922, the Presbyterian and Methodist congregations of Binscarth joined in local union. The Binscarth Union Church became part of the United Church of Canada in 1925, and was renamed Knox United Church. In 1954, a congregation formed at Crosby and became an appointment of Binscarth. In 1966, Crosby disbanded though most of its members remained within the Binscarth-Foxwarren charge.
