Biographical history

Kathleen Blanchard was born in England and had three children, Arthur, Joyce (who died in 1926) and Bobby Johnson, by her first marriage. She came to Winnipeg in 1910 as a nurse and later married Dr. R.J. Blanchard. Besides "The Gossamer Thread", she also published many stories about hymns. Kathleen Blanchard died 2 March 1954.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of one published leaflet with original envelope dated 18 February 1937. The Gossamer Thread, as related by Kathleen Blanchard for the Women's Guild of All Saints Church, Winnipeg. Also included is the inscription of the stained glass window in her memory at All Saints Church, Winnipeg.
