Biographical history

Erna Tetzner's parents, Katarina and Edward Wehrman, came to Canada with their two daughters (of whom Erna was one) from Siberia in 1923. The Wehrman's were of Mennonite background.

Custodial history

Items were donated to the Dugald Costume Collection Inc. by Erna Tetzner in 1992.

Scope and content

Items consist of a portrait of a man and woman, seated. The couple are identified as Katarina and Edward Wehrman and a caption on the reverse of the item indicates the photograph was taken in 1911 in Siberia. Katarina Wehrman is possibly wearing around her neck a ladies watch (JH-520) that was donated at the same time as the photograph.
