The Rev. John Alvin Shirley was ordained a Deacon in 1912 and a Priest in 1913 for the Diocese of Rupert's Land. He served at St. Alban's Church in Oak Lake, Manitoba, St. Stephen's Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Christ Church in Whitehorse, Yukon, and St. Paul's Cathedral in Dawson, Yukon. During this time, he was also an Archdeacon of Yukon. He later served as an Assistant at All Saints Church in Pasadena, California and as Rector at St. Luke's Church in Monrovia California. There is no information available on John Alvin Shirley after 1927.
