George Thorman Textbook Collection

Collection consists of textbooks covering the subject areas of: Agriculture, Art, Business Education, Economics, Composition, Grammar, Rhetoric, Literature, Plays, Poetry, Prose, Readers, Spelling, Phonics, Stories, Geography, Health, History, French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, General mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Logic, Psychology, Religion, Research, Methods, Manuals, Astronomy, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, General science, Zoology, Cooking, and Gardening. Includes two notebooks. The works found in the collection were published primarily between 1875 - 1940, although they range from 1801 - 1967, with an emphasis on History, all areas of Mathematics, Research and topics related to English or Language Arts. There are a number of works published in the nineteenth-century dealing with most of the collection's subject areas. The majority of the collection focuses on public and high school textbooks, particularly in relation to the province of Ontario, with some attention to university education.

Minnedosa Business and Professional Women's Club fonds

Fonds contains financial records and minutes from the years 1959-1980. There is also a copy of the club's bylaws, as well as monthly membership reports from 1976-1980. Fonds is composed mainly of four scrapbooks, which run from 1959-1979, 1959-1963, 1959-1964, and 1977-1979, respectively. The scrapbooks contain photos, newspaper clippings, Christmas cards, correspondence and programs. The clippings relate to Business and Professional Women's Clubs from around Manitoba, while focusing on the Minnedosa Club. Many of the clippings also focus on the status of women in Canada and the rest of the world. The collection also includes a brief typed history of the Minnedosa Club, as well as other loose newspaper clippings, programs, songbooks, and correspondence. Finally, there are three guestbooks included in the collection. The first runs from 1959-1978. The second guestbook is from the Art and Ceramic Display and Tea, held on May 27, 1972. The third guestbook is from the Art and Ceramic Dispay and Tea, held on May 29, 1976.

Neepawa Business and Professional Women's Club Collection

The collection consists of one scrapbook made by the club, which covers the years 1955-1959. The scrapbook includes newspaper clippings, programs, invitations, and lists of club officers from around the province. The scrapbook also includes the bylaws of the Neepawa Club. Many of the newspaper clippings relate to the status of women in Canada and around the world.

This collection contains many documents including annual reports from 1942-1981 and minutes from 1962-1964. The collection also includes standing committee reports c. 1962-1977 and resolutions c. 1960-80. One large part of the collection includes information on Tweedsmuir competitions. Finally, the collection includes correspondence, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous papers and pamphlets.

This collection has been artificially created and consists of miscellaneous newspaper and magazine clippings, handbooks, newsletters, photos and song sheets collected by various unknown Manitoba Women's Institute branches. Some newletters included in the collection are "Institute News" from the Manitoba Women's Institute, "National Farm Forum Guide", "Federated News" from the Federated Women's Institute of Canada and "The Country Woman" from Associated Women of the World. The newspaper clippings in the collection relate to Women's Institute branches around Manitoba and the rest of Canada.

Winnipeg Theatre Clippings collection

Collection consists of two ledger-sized scrapbooks of theatre-related clippings from Winnipeg newspapers from 1914 to 1927 and one smaller scrapbook listing, alphabetically, the people profiled in J. B. McGeachy’s “I First Saw” column in the Winnipeg Free Press from 1921-1929.

The fonds consists of textual and electronic records pertaining to the publication of the University of Winnipeg-produced literary journal juice. Records include: manuscript drafts, publication layouts and prints, financial quotes, promotional material (including posters), donation requests, administrative records, letters of support, newspaper clippings, rejection letters, and related correspondence. The fonds also includes copies of other literary journals in Winnipeg such as Mindscape from The Collegiate at the University of Winnipeg, the Writer’s Collectives’ Collective Consciousness, and the University of Winnipeg English Students' Association's The Undergrad. The computer diskettes and CDs include writer submissions, publishing master copies from a variety of years, and copies of Urban Slices (a limited edition spoken word collection).

Guenther Sickert Collection

The Guenter Sickert Collection consists of newspaper articles, scrapbook pages, correspondence, photographs, maps, documents and publications collected by Guenter Sickert that relate to his and others' contributions to the German-Canadian community, primarily in Winnipeg. He was devoted to preserving German culture and language among German immigrants in Canada. The Sickert Collection is composed of the following series: German-Canadian Congress; Publications; German Society of Winnipeg; Camp Neustadt; Research Materials; Clubs and Organizations; Community Events; German-Canadian Historic Association; Miscellaneous; Newspaper; Photographs; and Maps. The records are spread across 18 boxes.

Included are notebooks, calenders, diaries and daily planners from members of the Pugh family.
