The fonds consists of manuscript letters, newspaper clippings of interest to Burman and copies of his own publications. The contents reflects Burman's broad interests including Indigenous culture, the Arctic, the Church Missionary Society (CMS), the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK), and Uganda. The series includes 11 ice hockey programs which almost exclusively chronicle the home games of the Brandon Wheat Kings from 1946-1951 and one program related to the Brandon Elks hockey team from 1947.

The collection contains programs and scripts of plays presented by Brandon Little Theatre; a 1934 program of the Dominion Drama Festival, Manitoba Region; and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings and publications pertaining to Brandon Little Theatre, Brandon Art Club, and Helen McGregor.
