Newspaper collection dating back to the mid 1800s. Included are articles discussing the Winnipeg general strike and Sitting Bull's death.

Margaret Pugh

The materials contained in the Margaret Pugh series consist of biographical material, her records relating to the Home Economics and Agriculture Department at the University of Manitoba, her subsequent career as a dietitian and employment as such at various hospitals including Deer Lodge Veterans Hospital. A large collection of cookbooks, recipes and research related to nutrition and health are included in the series. Margaret's hobbies and interests in collecting postcards and traveling are reflected in the materials.

Louis-Philippe-Adélard Langevin

La série Langevin est l'une des plus complète de ce fonds. Elle comprend de la correspondance provenant d'hommes politiques de l'époque tels que le premier ministre Rodmond P. Roblin et du premier ministre canadien Wilfrid Laurier. On peut aussi y trouver de la correspondance provenant de gens tels Ambroise Dedyme Lépine, Jules-Paul Tardivel et Dom Paul Benoît. Le fonds comprend des documents traitant de politique, d'éducation, de religion et d'économie. Il documente aussi une vision du multiculturalisme manitobain tel qu'adoptée par Langevin. La série contient en outre des documents provenant d'un grand nombre de paroisses de l'archidiocèse et des évêques du Canada tels Vital Justin Grandin et Émile Grouard. La série contient de plus un grand nombre de correspondance avec diverses communautés religieuses d'hommes et de femmes ainsi que de la correspondance du Vatican. Elle documente aussi les relations de l'Église catholique romaine avec les populations de rite oriental et les communautés catholiques de diverses nationalités. On y trouve aussi des documents portant sur la position de l'Église de Langevin face à l'éducation publique dans l'Ouest canadien ainsi que sur ses efforts de colonisation catholique. La série contient de plus un grand nombre de coupures de presse, de rapports des oeuvres aux Ruthènes et d'hommages à Mgr Langevin ainsi que plusieurs documents financiers de l'archidiocèse de Saint-Boniface. Ce fonds est de plus très important pour l'étude des événements concernant la question scolaire à partir de l'accord Laurier-Greenway jusqu'à la situation à la veille de la loi Thornton de 1916.

The Guenter Sickert Collection consists of newspaper articles, scrapbook pages, correspondence, photographs, maps, documents and publications collected by Guenter Sickert that relate to his and others' contributions to the German-Canadian community, primarily in Winnipeg. He was devoted to preserving German culture and language among German immigrants in Canada. The Sickert Collection is composed of the following series: German-Canadian Congress; Publications; German Society of Winnipeg; Camp Neustadt; Research Materials; Clubs and Organizations; Community Events; German-Canadian Historic Association; Miscellaneous; Newspaper; Photographs; and Maps. The records are spread across 18 boxes.

Family Photographs

Photographs of friends and family members in relation to the Pugh family. These photographs were included in typed and handwritten letters and cards sent to various members of the family, though predominantly Margaret.
