The first accession (A10-92) is divided into two series. They include published articles and manuscripts, and photographs. The photograph collection consists of 22,719 slides, 3157 photographs, 3209 negatives, 2 compact discs, and 1 VHS video cassette.

The second accession (A11-68) is divided into 9 series. They include biographical information and field journals, published articles and manuscripts, teaching notes, correspondence, research materials, oversize materials, photographs, audiotapes, and maps. The photograph collection consists of 343 photographs, 99 negatives, 2 films, 30 compact discs, 41 VHS video cassettes, 2 Beta cassettes, and 15 DVDs. The tape collection consists of 13 audio cassettes. The map collection consists of 2 maps.

The third accession (A14-40) is comprised of 7 series. The first series comprises a photograph collection containing 2689 photos , 1503 negatives, 23 contact sheets, 6 sketches. The second series is a slide collection containing 6450 slides. 21 videocassettes comprise the third series. Series four contains biographical and family information. Series five is comprised of articles written by Riewe & Oakes. Series six consists of course notes and research material. The final oversize series contains Riewe's academic degrees.

The fonds consists of an assortment of documents related to the University of Manitoba Engineering Society, University of Manitoba Students'€™ Union (UMSU), Manitoba Medical College, and Manitoba Agricultural College. The fonds also contains 10 atlas maps of Manitoba and western Canada and colour illustrations titled "The Funeral of Two Members of the 90th Battalion at Winnipeg" and "€œScenes from An Emigrant'€™s Life in Manitoba."€ 39 black and white photographs mainly related to engineering activities are also included in the fonds. Winnipeg Boys'€™ Choir concert programs, T. Eaton Co. Anniversary ribbons, a University of Manitoba Engineers'€™ felt banner, and University of Manitoba felt patches are also included.

Ce fonds documente principalement les familles Laporte, Schwartz et Gendreau de Saint-Norbert au Manitoba, leurs amis et leur parenté. On y retrouve plusieurs photographies des premiers commerces de la famille, des activités et des sorties de famille et de tous les membres de la famille en passant par les ancêtres jusqu'aux petits-enfants. Ce fonds comprend en outre une importante documentation sur Saint-Norbert en particulier, mais aussi sur Sainte-Agathe, Grand Beach, Somerset, Winnipeg, et sur Saint-Adolphe. Il y a aussi deux albums qui contiennent encore des photographies, principalement des photographies de voyage et de famille, mais aussi des photographies du travail d'Alice Laporte comme infirmière à l'Hôpital général de Saint-Boniface, et de Napoléon Laporte comme étudiant à l'école de médecine de Winnipeg. Ce fonds comprend en outre une lettre de Wilfrid Laurier alors qu'il était encore avocat en 1875. Il y a aussi une peinture de l'avenue de l'Église à Saint-Norbert peinturée en 1913 par Alida Gendreau.

Ewart Family fonds

The fonds consists of John Skirving Ewart's notes and draft of his unfinished manuscript, Political History of Canada. The fonds also contains material collected by Thomas Seaton Ewart while he was a student at St. John's College and while he was a civil servant in the Manitoba provincial government of John Bracken. This material includes the "First and Second Interim Reports of the Royal Commission Constituted to Inquire Into All Matters Pertaining to the Manitoba Agricultural College" submitted by Judge A. O. Galt in May 1917, and extracts from the "Report of the Royal Commission Constituted to Inquire Into an Report on All Expenditures for Road Work During the Year 1914" submitted by Judge G. Paterson. It also contains reviews on his book on waivers: Waiver Distributed (1917); correspondence with Prof. S. Williston, Harvard Law School (1917); newspaper clippings, transcripts of speeches by Premier Bracken, provincial government papers and correspondence of John Bracken. The photograph collections features photographs of John Skirving Ewart and a photograph relating to John Bracken's re-election bid in 1936.

Records in this fonds were generated through the administration of Wesley College, including its teaching faculty, governing bodies, committees, and student groups. They include student records, financial records, legal records, minutes, and correspondence. The fonds also contains records from the 1913-1914 joint administration between Manitoba and Wesley Colleges, at the time entitled the United Colleges, that served as a precedent for the permanent 1938 merger as United College. Fonds is arranged in twenty-six series.

Fonds reflects Lloyd Axworthy’s career as a politician and academic, starting with his first election campaign in 1966 but especially during the height of his involvement in high-profile international events 1996-2004. Fonds is divided into six series. The first includes promotional campaign materials from his time as an MLA and MP in various ridings in Winnipeg, 1966-2000, as well as photographs taken from local political activities. The second includes ministerial records, particularly his notes and research about the events he was involved in, and photographs mainly documenting his meetings with various international dignitaries and VIPs. This series comes primarily from his time as Minister of Foreign Affairs, 1996-2000. The third includes records from his activities after leaving public life, such as notes and research for papers and speeches and for his activities with the Liu Centre for Global Studies and the United Nations. The fourth includes materials directly related to his book, Navigating a New World: Canada’s Global Future, such as outlines, drafts, correspondence with his editor, and supplementary research.
