The fonds consists of photographs depicting farming activities on the Otto Lau farm and farms in the Humesville and Justice Districts of the R.M. of Elton, Manitoba.

Fonds includes photographs from the First World War and correspondence to various members of the Lau family including correspondence from Private Frank Otto Lau during his service overseas in the First World War.

Postcard reads: "HELP WANTED in BRANDON" (except the word "in" is written in pencil). Burned in picture is of a cowboy pointing a gun at a frightened man wearing a suit. In pencil, the cowboy is labelled "Frank" and the man in the suit is labelled "John."
