Collection consists of textbooks covering the subject areas of: Agriculture, Art, Business Education, Economics, Composition, Grammar, Rhetoric, Literature, Plays, Poetry, Prose, Readers, Spelling, Phonics, Stories, Geography, Health, History, French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, General mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Logic, Psychology, Religion, Research, Methods, Manuals, Astronomy, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, General science, Zoology, Cooking, and Gardening. Includes two notebooks. The works found in the collection were published primarily between 1875 - 1940, although they range from 1801 - 1967, with an emphasis on History, all areas of Mathematics, Research and topics related to English or Language Arts. There are a number of works published in the nineteenth-century dealing with most of the collection's subject areas. The majority of the collection focuses on public and high school textbooks, particularly in relation to the province of Ontario, with some attention to university education.

This fonds contains records pertaining to the career of Henri Francq at Brandon University, although the majority are concerned with his writing career after his retirement. Fonds includes published versions of his work, and an even greater number of unpublished manuscripts, and research material dealing with the Nazi holocaust and Ernst Zundel. Francq was a fierce opponent of fascism and racism. His work was dedicated principally to a critique of right-wing ideology and its political manifestations. His satirical works are all highly critical of modern society and politics. This fonds also contains a few issues of "La Revue de L'Universite Laval" from 1966.

Fonds reflects two key facets of Dr. Kerr’s career with the University of Winnipeg, and is divided into two corresponding series. First is her role in the Faculty Association’s Committee on the Status of Women, a body that examined gendered discrimination, particularly in terms of salary, among the University’s faculty and staff. The second is her involvement in the fields of childhood psychology and child care: both her administrative and scholarly activities through the University of Winnipeg’s Developmental Studies program, as well as her participation on government committees such as the Child Care Education Program Approval Committee. Fonds is divided into two series that correspond to these two facets.

The first series is comprised primarily of records from the surveys conducted by the Committee on the Status of Women, including data and the compilations and reports generated therewith. It also includes some research materials related to the status of women. The second series is comprised of correspondence, records of meetings, and reports, primarily generated by the University of Winnipeg Department of Psychology and Senate and the Manitoba Department of Education. Also includes some research materials related to child psychology and child care.

Fonds consists of black and white photographs showing two unknown soldiers, Howard F. Baron and Grace J. (Boon) Baron (ca. early 1930's). Textual material includes a Christmas card (1948), other miscellaneous ephemera (1888-1991), Lester Baron's booklets from Manitoba Boys' and Girls' Clubs Member's Note Book, Boys' and Girls' Beef Calf Club Handbook, printed materials from businesses (Reliance Elevator at Melbourne, S. M. McDonald General Merchant at Melbourne, E. F. Davey Merchant, Berry's Hardware, A. R. Calvert Garage). Berry's Hardware calendar includes aerial view of Carberry. Calvert booklet is titled "Happy Motoring".

The fonds consist of records related to the Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg including newsletters, yearbooks and student records from the Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, departmental correspondence, meeting minutes, clippings, discussion papers and reports. The photograph collection contains images of patients, staff, volunteers and the various buildings in which the hospital has been situated. These images were digitized in 2009.
