The collection contains records pertaining to early life in the Brandon area (c.1890-1950). The majority of records are from local businesses in Brandon. Records pertaining to local businesses include receipt books, price booklets, advertisements, invoices, order forms, business cards, a ledger book, rent records, and patent certificates. There are two reports on the Rural Municipality of Daly: "List of Electors" and "Auditor's Report." There is also a small number of household items--among them, a Gaelic Bible, a book of religious stories, a sewing book, a songbook, and vehicle registration cards. Also in the collection are 11 photographs of Brandon-area businesses, residents, and events.

The Guenter Sickert Collection consists of newspaper articles, scrapbook pages, correspondence, photographs, maps, documents and publications collected by Guenter Sickert that relate to his and others' contributions to the German-Canadian community, primarily in Winnipeg. He was devoted to preserving German culture and language among German immigrants in Canada. The Sickert Collection is composed of the following series: German-Canadian Congress; Publications; German Society of Winnipeg; Camp Neustadt; Research Materials; Clubs and Organizations; Community Events; German-Canadian Historic Association; Miscellaneous; Newspaper; Photographs; and Maps. The records are spread across 18 boxes.

Fonds includes information about Winnipeg’s Metropolitan amalgamation, Winnipeg Art Gallery Competition, Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and the MAA’s connections to the University of Manitoba School of Architecture, and other projects. Some records identified as being created by the Manitoba Architects’ Wives Association.

The records in the A. Gerald Bedford fonds are those of two accessions: Accession 07.004 and Accession 10.001. Accession 07.004 contains records that were given to Bedford by Edith Baragar, as well as historical material collected by Bedford as he conducted research for his books. Accession 10.001 contains primarily records that were created or collected by Bedford throughout his education and academic career. These records begin with those created by Bedford during his undergraduate degree at United College, and encompass the following 50-plus years that Bedford spent studying, teaching, researching, writing and publishing. Accession 10.01 also includes the historical records of George Bryce and William J. Rose, collected by Bedford and donated to the archives along with his own materials.

Ce fonds contient une copie dactylographiée du texte "La Littérature française au Nord-Ouest" écrit par Louis-Arthur Prud'homme et imprimé dans les Mémoires de la Société Royale en 1915. On y trouve en outre quatre cahiers de notes ayant servis à la publication d'un ou plusieurs textes sur Pierre Gaultier de La Vérendrye et l'Île au Massacre. Il y a aussi plusieurs photocopies d'articles de Prud'homme publiés dans les "Mémoires de la Société Royale du Canada", des tirés à part d'articles des "Mémoires de la Société Royale du Canada" dont certains sont annotés ou sont signés de l'auteur, ainsi qu'une copie du "Bulletin de la Société historique de Saint-Boniface" dans laquelle Prud'homme a collé plusieurs coupures de presse et documents et où il a fait plusieurs annotations.
