Sybil and Saul Cherniack fonds

Fonds consists of scrapbooks compiled by Saul and Sybil Cherniack documenting Saul Cherniack’s political career as well as their personal lives in addition to other records. Other records include photographs of Sybil Cheriack’s family, and records documenting Saul’s work with various Jewish organizations in Winnipeg.

The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings that mention Saul Cherniack during his political career as well as campaign material and other political ephemera. They appear to have been assembled by Sybil Cherniack.

Other records relate to Saul’s work with Jewish organizations including the Canadian Jewish Congress, I.L. Peretz School and the Jewish Welfare Fund.

Later records mostly consist of photographs, correspondence and other records related to Saul and Sybil’s personal and family life. Also include are photographs of Sybil’s relatives in the Zeal and Litman families of Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan.
