The Series includes seven original photograph albums, primarily documenting life in the City of Brandon and area. Images in the series include Whitehead family photographs, World War I soldiers, Camp Hughes, agriculture, the Brandon Lawn Tennis Club, Brandon Street scenes, Brandon Fair, Pelican Lake, Ninette, Manitoba, The Brandon Turf Club, the Oak Lake Shooting Club, Dominion Day Carnival, camp life, scouts, fairs and parades. The photographs are believed to have been taken by Joseph B. Whitehead, Ernest Christie Whitehead, Grace (Davidson) Whitehead and Joseph A. Whitehead between 1909 to 1950.
