This collection is comprised of photographs and written documents pertaining mainly to the history of the Basswood and the Brandon Hills areas of Manitoba. The written documents include a history of schools in the Basswood area and a biography of World War 1 veteran, Zepherin Sioux. The collection includes images of the Basswood, Brandon Hills, and Rapid City communities, as well as a print of a painting by Clarence Tillenius.

Also included is a photograph of the 1882 County Council of Brandon and an advertisement for the Canadian Portrait Co. in Oak Lake, Manitoba.

Materials in the fonds were created by A.E. McKenzie Seed Co. Ltd. The fonds contains items pertaining to the seed business, including catalogues, price lists, advertisements, correspondence, recipes, and information booklets about gardening and farming. There are also four large map boards of different areas in Western Canada. Each item is described in detail at the individual level in the Daly House Museum database.

Kenner Collection

The collection consists of Kenner family photographs and photographs depicting business and farming activities of John Howard Kenner (1870-1965) at Melita, Manitoba. The fonds also consists of photographs of Pierson General Store owned by William Staples Kenner (1863-1952) in Pierson, Manitoba. There are also photographs of Brandon General Hospital School of Nursing graduates Anna Catherine (McLaren) Kenner (1873-1965) and Miss Christina Macleod (1883-1976). Additionally, the collection contains the 1906 register from the Palace Hotel in Brandon, Catherine Kenner's in the Brandon General Hospital Alumni Association membership certificate, and a meal ticket from the Carleton Cafe in Brandon.
