Jennie Nielsen fonds

Fonds consists of 9 postcards of various places in Denmark, the US and Canada; several letters (in Danish) from Mrs. Nielsen's friends and relatives, a small book of sacred songs, and a book entitled "Danmarks Historie" published in 1879 by a presumably Danish publishing company, and inscribed to Kirstine Nielsen; a photograph of an unknown man; and a photograph marked "Wellwood School - approx 1927" showing the school, the staff and the students (with tentative identification of some of the people in it.)

Fonds consists of photographs of Deer Range School: one black and white (1970), one colour (1992), and a school history. History describes Deer Range School #922 as being founded in 1898 to provide educational services to children of the Deer Range district of Manitoba up to Grade Nine. It was closed to students in 1959 when declining enrollment prompted children to be sent to schools in Edrans and Firdale, Manitoba, and dissolved in 1966. Family history lists significant dates for members, beginning with Lucretia Martha (Seaman) Smith.
