The fonds contains documents created by, pertaining to, or accumulated by, the Prince Alexander of Teck Chapter of the I.O.D.E. in Brandon, Manitoba. Documents include roll books (1959-1979), meeting minutes (1971-1994), guide booklets, correspondence, financial records, service secretary's reports (1959-1990), a service manual, a public relations manual, various newspaper clippings, and a poster outlining the organization's purposes and services. Information pertains to attendance, membership, event planning, fundraising, scholarships and bursaries, and charity organizations. Correspondence includes communication with provincial and national I.O.D.E. organizations. The oldest document is a certificate pertaining to the chapter's establishment in 1914.
The fonds is divided into six series:

    The series consists of the I.O.D.E. Prince Alexander of Teck Chapter 308 charter, constitution and by-laws, service manual, public relations manual, and information board documents.

    The series consists of the minutes of the I.O.D.E. Prince Alexander of Teck Chapter 308 between 1971 and 1994.

  4. Correspondence (1991-1994)
    The series consists of correspondence of I.O.D.E. Prince Alexander of Teck Chapter 308 between 1991 and 1994.

  5. Auction/Rummage Sales (1977-1985)
    The series consists of records pertaining to the annual auction/rummage sale of the I.O.D.E. Prince Alexander of Teck Chapter 308 from 1981 to 1985. Includes newspaper clippings.

  6. Service Secretary Records (1959-1990)
    The series consists of records of the activities of I.O.D.E. Prince Alexander of Teck Chapter 308 including correspondence, financial records, and event information between 1959 and 1990.

The fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by the Canadian Order of Foresters, Court Jubilee No. 12 in Brandon, Manitoba from 1948 to 1994. Material includes meeting minutes from 1981 to 1994, which provide information on dates and places of meetings, attendance, treasurer's reports, bills and accounts, committee reports, and society business. The fonds also contains annual reports, membership lists, roll books, and meeting minutes for the organization's provincial and executive branches. Correspondence pertains to donations, fundraising, recreation, inter-branch communication, and other activities. Other materials in the fonds are newsletters, High Court documents, ritual books, financial reports, constitutions, and educational materials for community initiatives.

William John Burchill Family Collection

The material in this collection belonged to the Burchill/Stoll family. The collection includes photographs, paintings, books, written records, genealogical records, letters, and other documents. The majority of the photographs are of the William J. Burchill family of Brandon, Manitoba. There are many pictures of family and friends, especially of Burchill's daughters in childhood and youth; some are casual photographs and others are formal portraits. Photographs are from family events, weddings, social gatherings, school, and during recreational activities. Also included are photographs of Edith Burchill Stoll's family and friends during her adult life after moving to Illinois. Each photograph is described at the individual level. There are three albums of photographs and the rest are separate. Also included in the collection are portraits of members of the Gibson and McEvoy families. Two of these are oil paintings. There are also prints and needle work. There are books in the collection which belonged to different members of the Burchill Family. These include Bibles, prayer books, a hymn book, an atlas, personal notebooks, and collections of poetry. The collection also contains genealogical records, correspondence, and written histories pertaining to the Burchill family history and to the history of the Canadian Prairies. Other documents include, will and funeral records; birth, marriage and death certificates; letters, postcards, obituaries, and newspaper clippings.
