This collection contains textual records relating to various issues and information on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit and Queer history including: Comprehensive Works, Bibliography, Reference; Gay/Lesbian Life, Lifestyles & Concerns; Literature & Language; Visual & Performing Arts; History & Gay/Lesbian Liberation Movement; Behavioral Sciences; Social Sciences; Philosophy & Religion; Physical & Natural Sciences; and AIDS-Related Information. It also includes an extensive moving image and sound collection, including oral histories and episodes of the cable access program "Coming Out."

This fonds consists of material on the aboriginal history, culture, education, health, housing, and politics. Walter Rudnicki was an active participant in many of the subjects collected by him in the course of his life. In the most cases, this material is organized into themes and contains correspondence, government documents, reports, press releases, newspaper clippings, and documents of many aboriginal organizations and their leaders.
The fonds consists of three parts: a manuscript collection, a photograph collection, and a tape collection. The manuscripts include correspondence, radio and television programme proposals, published articles, manuscripts and a personal file. The photograph collection features photographs from Cyprus, Egypt, rural Manitoba, Arctic Canada, Greenland and Germany. The tape collection consists of over 500 recorded interviews Holting conducted between 1957 and 1987. A major focus of his interviews is with the natives of Northern Manitoba and the Canadian Inuit. Also included are interviews with several Manitoba politicians and business people.
This U-matic tape contains two episodes of the Coming Out! cable access tv program produced by the Winnipeg Gay Media Collective:
