Records described as part of this fonds date from 1953 to 1999 and include records documenting the acts of the Board of Trustees such as minutes and reports, policy manuals and planning documents, and correspondence. Also described as part of this fonds are records pertaining to museum operations including items pertaining to museum executive management, financial management, collections management, exhibit planning, educational programming, marketing and publicity, and membership and fundraising activities.
The fonds consists of textual records and photographs generated by the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, and the Agricultural Exhibition (Ag-Ex). The textual records include prize lists, programs, minutes, financial and administrative files, original results, scrapbooks, tickets, news releases, contracts, by laws, and miscellaneous documents.
The fonds consists of three parts: a manuscript collection, a photograph collection, and a tape collection. The manuscripts include correspondence, radio and television programme proposals, published articles, manuscripts and a personal file. The photograph collection features photographs from Cyprus, Egypt, rural Manitoba, Arctic Canada, Greenland and Germany. The tape collection consists of over 500 recorded interviews Holting conducted between 1957 and 1987. A major focus of his interviews is with the natives of Northern Manitoba and the Canadian Inuit. Also included are interviews with several Manitoba politicians and business people.

It also includes an extensive moving image and sound collection, including oral histories and episodes of the cable access program "Coming Out."

This fonds consists of material on the aboriginal history, culture, education, health, housing, and politics. Walter Rudnicki was an active participant in many of the subjects collected by him in the course of his life. In the most cases, this material is organized into themes and contains correspondence, government documents, reports, press releases, newspaper clippings, and documents of many aboriginal organizations and their leaders.
The fonds consists of manuscript letters, newspaper clippings of interest to Burman and copies of his own publications. The contents reflects Burman's broad interests including Indigenous culture, the Arctic, the Church Missionary Society (CMS), the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK), and Uganda. Items consist of 3 copies of a black and white photograph of guests at the ball, on one copy of which Mrs. Dimock has indicated her location when the photograph was taken. Also found here are invitations to the opening of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and the Lieutenant-Governor's Ball and a newspaper clipping describing the events.
