Fonds consists of records of Marvin Penn relating to his involvement in Spanish Civil War veteran groups, various Jewish organizations and his personal and professional life.

Records relating to Penn’s involvement with Spanish Civil War veterans include newsletters and correspondence from International Brigades groups in Canada and the United States as well as photographs of ceremonies honouring those veterans. Also included are newspaper articles, magazines and books about the International Brigades.

Records from Jewish organizations include correspondence and correspondence from Bnai Brith, and certificates and programs from Hadassah-WIZO, Jewish National Fund and others.

Personal and professional records include business cards, immigration records of Marvin Penn and of his parents, health records and sympathy cards sent to his wife, Irma, after his death.
