This fonds consists of the various records of the Board of Governors of the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
The collection consists of letters, diaries, family photographs dating from the 1880s, business papers and other memorabilia pertaining to the Brigden family and the Brigden graphic arts firm. Items include letters from a number of important Canadian artists. Also described here is memorabilia concerning the Rev. Thomas Brigden and Kingswood School; Cornelius Fielder; and the Winnipeg Community Players.

Building Committee sous-sous-fonds
Sous-sous-fonds consists of records of the design and construction of the new building, including literature surrounding the design competition, photographs of The WAG during and after construction, correspondence, maps and plans. The Winnipeg Art Gallery
This fonds consists of the notebook of Catherine Ryan. The notebook contains the lecture notes for Art 311. There is no year given for these notes, the dates identified are from October 2 to May 22. The class notes are on different topics such as art history, how to draw parts of bodies, types of paintings and styles and personalities in art. The fonds consist of the following series:

There are two documents held by the Archives. The first is a transcript from an audio taped interview of Charles Hill with Charles Comfort. The second document is excerpts from Charles Comfort's address as the Royal Academy of Arts President at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.

This fonds consists of original reproductions signed by Pflug as well as correspondence between her and Dr. Eckhardt on May 6, 1968. Reproduction of letters from Christiane Pflug to her husband Michael describing her daily activities and thoughts on her trips abroad painting and travelling. As well as other correspondence and biographical notes.

The materials described here date from ca. 1930 to 1978. Items include internal WAG correspondence; WAG ephemera; lectures and essays; her father's personal papers; MA and PhD theses; and newspaper and magazine clippings related to art, art history, Jewish art and history, education, and book reviews of women writers. Interspaced throughout the items in the donation are small post-it notes provided by Dr. Lander's daughter.
As no formal organization was apparent in the materials described here, based on the contents of the donation and notes provided by Dr. Lander’s daughter, the items were arranged according to the order in which they were received. Loose items have been filed according to topic. The files are arranged under a single series. Materials were arranged largely in the order in which they were received.
The sous-fonds consists of records of various aspects of The WAG exhibitions such as Department and exhibition meetings, research and coordination of exhibitions, administration of and care for works to be included in exhibitions, incoming and out-going loans, and production of exhibition catalogues. Records of individual curators, associate curators and curators-in-residence are included.
