The fonds consists of personal and professional correspondence, fan mail, publicity (print and online reviews, newspaper clippings, and posters advertising her appearances), photographs, awards material. research, drafts of some of Matas's novels, and copies of her published work. The fonds also contains a DVD copy of a short documentary on Matas and an audiobook of "Daniel's Story".
The fonds contains a collection of Brandon College memorabilia including programs from various Brandon College Student Association events such as a mock parliament, newpaper stories concerning international students at Brandon College, copies of Brandon College Alumni News, and a copy of "The New Brandon College School of Music" written by Ms. Peggy Sharpe, a faculty member in the School of Music. The fonds also contains items dealing with Ms. Paintin-Dence's involvement with the Brandon College Glee Club.
The fonds consists of Caroline Dukes' correspondence, catalogues of her exhibitions, 144 drawings and sketches, and newspaper clippings featuring biographical information. The photograph collection consists of 43 photographs, 20 negatives, and 1 slide.

The records contain photographs of a number of families and individuals centred around the Cook's Creek and Lockport areas of Manitoba. There are a number of early (ca. 1920s) photographs of the Galka, Kula, and Haier families, as well as a number of later (ca. 1930s-1950s) photographs of the family of Stan and Sophie Galka. There are also a number of photographs of Mary and Joe Galka of Cook's Creek, Manitoba, and their family and acquaintances.
